Värdeavi

A Värdeavi is a payment order issued by Bankgirot, PlusGirot, Swedbank or Sparbankerna, for example for a tax refund, an insurance payout or a refund from a subscription. With the Värdeavi, the recipient can pay in store or redeem it for cash at a large number of store chains across Sweden.

A Värdeavi can be redeemed at a large number of store chains throughout Sweden, every day between 06:00 and 23:00. So you do not need to visit a bank branch – you can simply go to one of the connected stores, even in the evenings and at weekends.

You need to show valid Swedish ID to redeem a Värdeavi. If someone else redeems the Värdeavi for you, that person needs to bring both their own ID and yours. Värdeavi notices from Swedbank can only be redeemed by the person the Värdeavi is issued to.

If your Värdeavi has expired or cannot be redeemed, contact the company that issued it, for example Bankgirot, PlusGirot, Swedbank or Sparbankerna, for help and new instructions.

Yes, you can redeem your Värdeavi for cash in store, up to SEK 2,000 or the amount the store has available in the till. You can also choose to use the Värdeavi as payment for your purchases, or a combination of both.

Yes, thanks to a partnership with Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven, you can now also deposit the amount directly into your bank account via Swish – a convenient alternative to withdrawing cash in store.

Yes, you can send a representative to redeem the Värdeavi on your behalf. The representative must then bring both their own ID and your ID, except for Värdeavi notices from Swedbank, where this requirement does not apply.
