Clearon AB (”Clearon”) provides various solutions within value and information management, such as coupons and payment services in retail, and the company is under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. When providing these services, Clearon may process personal data about you. This information is intended to describe what personal data processing we perform, why, and what rights you have in connection with the processing.
Clearon is the data controller for the processing of personal data handled in the majority of our services. We perform certain services on behalf of other organizations, and in those cases, Clearon is usually the data processor, while our clients are the data controllers. Clearon primarily receives personal data about you when you provide it to us directly or from one of our clients with whom you have a customer relationship, for example, if you request a service that we provide in a store or through membership in a customer club at one of our clients. In our payment services, we may supplement personal data with information from the population register, such as your address.

When Clearon processes personal data to provide a service you have ordered directly from Clearon, the processing is carried out to fulfill Clearon's contractual obligations to you. If the processing occurs so that you can receive services based on an agreement with one of Clearon's clients, Clearon processes your personal data for our and our client's legitimate interest in being able to offer you these services. Personal data may also be processed if it is necessary to fulfill legal requirements, such as anti-money laundering checks.
Clearon transfers personal data to banks, partners, and other categories of recipients, including authorities. This transfer occurs so that we can provide our services and fulfill our legal obligations.
When we disclose information to others who process your personal data on our behalf, we ensure that these parties process your personal data securely and in accordance with applicable law. In the description for each service, we specify whether data is transferred and, if so, to whom.
In cases where Clearon acts as a data processor, we receive your personal data from our client, such as a company or a bank, which then acts as the data controller.
For several of our services, we supplement personal data in order to perform the service. This involves obtaining names and addresses, which is done electronically from the population register.
We never process your personal data for longer than is permitted by applicable law, regulations, practices, or authority decisions. Personal data that we process for the purpose of fulfilling our mission is processed for as long as it is necessary for us to administer the customer relationship, exercise our rights, and fulfill our agreements and commitments to our clients or to you as a customer. For each service we provide, we have specified the criteria that apply to how long personal data is processed or stored.
Clearon implements appropriate technical and organizational security measures required to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Clearon manages and monitors its services in-house. We adhere to the ISO 27000 IT security standard, which means, among other things, that all systems handling personal data are protected by access control systems that only grant access to personnel working with the respective service. All of our mission-critical IT systems are duplicated across two separate data centers, and we utilize network protection with firewalls and other security mechanisms in accordance with established industry practices.
For services where you choose to participate in campaigns and take advantage of offers or marketing via, for example, web services or social media, you must provide us or our client with your consent for us to perform the necessary personal data processing for the service, provide you with newsletters, or send you future offers.

In accordance with applicable data protection legislation, you have the right to request a transcript of the personal data Clearon processes about you, free of charge. You also have the right to request the correction of incorrect information.
Requests for a transcript must be made in writing. Please note that the form is available in two versions.
Your personal data will not be kept for longer than is necessary for the purposes of the processing, and Clearon will otherwise delete personal data in accordance with applicable law. You do, however, have the right to request the deletion of incorrect data and in cases where the processing of personal data is no longer necessary.
You have the right to object to processing carried out based on legitimate interests, for example when Clearon processes your personal data to provide services in connection with your agreement with one of Clearon's partners.
You have the right to request a restriction on the processing of your personal data if: i) you contest the accuracy of the personal data; ii) the processing is unlawful and you choose to restrict the data rather than have it erased; iii) the personal data is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was processed, but you require it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims; or iv) you have objected to processing based on legitimate interests. A restriction on processing means that the personal data will continue to be stored but will not otherwise be processed by Clearon without your consent.
You have the right to request personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format for the data you have provided to Clearon yourself, provided that this data has been processed based on your consent or a contract.
